Water Use Reduction in LEED

Water is becoming an ever scarcer resource and while still relatively cheap, has seen significant increases in cost over the last several years. Often overlooked is the tremendous amount of water that is used - and often wasted - on a daily basis in our buildings. This session will address the different types of plumbing fixtures that are currently available and where they can best be utilized in restroom situations. This session is framed around the requirements of various LEED ratings systems, including NC, CS, CI, and Schools.  Included are 3 case study scenarios showing the benefits of different fixture combinations and water resulting water use reduction calculations.
